Two things I particularly like about eating at Chinese restaurants:

1) Watching the colour of the tea deepen as it's poured.

2) Taking the complementary orange wedges with me and eating them while walking home. Oranges are nice on a warm night.

Well, the particular orange wedges I refer to aren't garnishes, they're the ones you get along with the fortune cookies, but I do eat garnishes as well. Or occasionally wear them in my hair. You ever get food garnished with an orchid? Mind you, the orchids are edible too.

I must say that I have never in my memory received orchid-garnished food, nor would I probably spring for eating the orchid if I were to. Most other stuff is fair game, though. Mm, biomatter.
