other foods that could be shaped using a plastic gelatin mold? Vegetarian foods, that is. Agar, obviously, but that's not terribly easy to obtain. The only other I've thought of so far is Magic Shell, to make a tasty (hollow, possibly filled with something) chocolate brain.

You can have terrible amounts of fun suspending inappropriate things in gelatin! I.e. meatballs, meatloaf, bacon, breakfast sauasge... the list goes on!
